We submit our scores to the group every week. Knowing other people are counting on you to stick to your goals makes you much more likely to stick to them. (it's free)

The PactAll members sign a personalized pact listing all their goals and are encouraged to post it somewhere public. When you tell others your goals, you keep those goals.

Why is this free? What’s the catch?
Alexander started Checkmark Fitness in January of 2021 hoping 3-4 friends would join him on a shared fitness challenge. When fourteen people signed up, he decided to add more structure to the program. After the group shared their success over social media throughout the year over fifty people signed up for the 2022 season! Alexander continues to run the group for fun for now, but if it continues to grow like this, he may turn into a business one day. What is the diet/workout plan? The Checkmark Fitness Challenge is not a set of guidelines of how to workout or what to eat. It's a system to keep you accountable to your own goals guided by the principal that staying consistent is the hardest part. If you want extra help, we can set you up with a registered dietitian or a virtual fitness coach to help you achieve your goals! Do I have to track everything I eat? It is not mandatory to join the club, but you will likely see better results if you do. |
Why do I need to print out the goal sheet?
Having your printed goal sheet in a fixed place at your home and/or work is a physical reminder of the importance of your goals. The act of checking a box after a hard workout or a day of eating clean is an important part of the ritual that rewards you for sticking to your goals. It takes your fitness and life goals from a potentially empty promise you made to yourself to a tangible thing in real life. If you don't have a printer, make a trip to Kinkos, it's both mandatory and well worth the 70¢. Why are members removed for missing their goals? Holding on to a fitness streak is an important aspect of the Checkmark Fitness philosophy. Missing a workout or cheating on your diet for a day over the course of a long period does not do much in the grand scheme of things. Even having a bad week will not really effect you. But messing up a streak is devastating to long term motivation. This is a group of people holding on to a sixteen-week streak of good habits, together. Knowing the entire group is doing their part holds each member accountable to each other. |
